I don’t usually write personal items on here but this is more for local friends who read this blog.

We have serious news that John is going into hospital as he has a detached retina of his right eye.  This has come on rather suddenly and got dramatically worse.  Unfortunately the potential problem of it was not seen in A and E in Carmarthen on Sunday and because the macula is affected the damage is done.

He will have to take life v quietly for some time so if and when the hay is cut he cannot be around.  He hates the thought of doing virtually nothing but it cannot be helped. They don’t know what causes it – it’s just bad luck and he will almost certainly lose at least 50% of the field of vision of his right eye.  #Fortunately the left eye is good.

So I am really pleased I have the wheelchair hoist so that I can be independant and get in and out of the house on my own.  I have tried to organise as much as possible today.

Mark will come down when he can but I don’t want him driving down here when he’s had a long week.
