It’s not such a good day here, gone cool and cloudy, I cannot pretend it is warm so it’s disappointing when the morning starts off sunny.
Small caught another shrew, they must be easy targets but it’s a waste of a life as no one want to eat it. He caught a mole the other day. It was the terrified squeaking he likes as it ran along by the house. They are virtually blind out of the ground so it didn’t know where it was but John thinks it got away. It’s a lot bigger than the shrews so perhaps Small had more than he bargained for.
I missed a photo opportunity this morning. Having seen on Country File about their photo competition results I thought I’d check the camera was charged and took it to the front door. A spider had made a web in the corner of the panel and was busy wrapping up a luckless crane fly. I immediately rescued it and the spider scuttled away but I should have taken a photo of the busy spider first.
I think the crane fly had ‘passed on’ anyway.
With the weather being so bad I havn’t taken a photo for weeks although I could take pics of the mist and rain.
